![]() The photograph is printed on museum-quality, archival, 100% cotton paper.įrame Details: We use sustainable wooden frames and glass, not fibreboard and acrylic which typically you find in 'off the shelf' frames. The staff seemed to be waiting around for jobs to do & customers to serve. This is an open edition photographic print by Nichole Robinson entitled ''Paris Black And White Cafe Des Deux Moulins“. Can't comment on the food service as we didn't eat there, but I think in low season as it is at the moment it is pretty quiet & you will probably be served very quickly. I guess if you go in summer there would be a lot more tourists! I prefer feeling like a local whilst I am away & just mingling, so this was lovely for us. But I was surprised that it was full of what seemed like regulars.which was nice. ![]() As other people have mentioned, they do have a weird shrine to Amelie in the toilet/wash basin area.I don't thin they really need this as the cafe sells itself, & if you love Amelie, you don't need to see fake items from the film! They do have a photo up above the bar of a scene from Amelie & a lit up Amelie picture at the end of the cafe. ![]() ![]() As with many French bars they serve a snack with your drink.& we were given bowls of freshly made pop corn each time we ordered a drink.I thought that was a nice touch! The cafe has been done up to a certain extent since the film was made. But that was 12 years ago! So no surprise really. But it still had the same look as you see in the film, although the cigarette seller is no longer there. We ordered 2 beers & was surprised when it was only 7 Euros for the 2! We then found out it was happy hour between 7pm - 10pm! So of course we had a couple more beers after that! :) We moved to the comfy seating area to really take the atmosphere in. We sat at the bar when we arrived & the barman was very friendly. We visited Cafe des Deux Moulin on 11th November.I love Amelie, so loved being able to visit the cafe where Amelie worked! We didn't order food, but did visit for a few drinks in the evening.Service was very quick. If you think my reviews have been helpful to you, please click 'Yes' for 'Was this review helpful?' Be sure to grab some if you on a budget but mind you, it is not extremely cheap compare to the food at the chinese shops. Right across the cafe, there is a traditional parisian roast chicken shop that sells sausage and chips. Tip 7: if you are hungry and don't want to splurge too much in this cafe, you know what you can do? There are loads of chinese shops across the street that sell vietnamese rice paper roll for only 1.50€. So be sure to wait around for the crowd to clear. Tip 6: the cafe does get very crowded but it dispersed vert quickly too. We are not sure about the price but if we ever returned, we will try it. Tip 5: we saw a couple having lunch in the cafe and to be honest, it looks pretty good. Tip 4: there are reviews saying that this cafe has a unisex toilet, i didn't use the toilet but its pretty standard to have a unisex toilet in france anyway. I suggest you order it and share with your friends or other half. It is so much more expensive than having a slice of Tiramisu in Rome. Tip 3: mind you, it is quite expensive to dine at a cafe in Montmarte, this cafe charges a coffee and a creme brulee for 7 €. So just keep snapping like everyone else. Moreover, you will only be there for once in your life and won't return again like every tourist. Tip 2: Do not feel embarrased ot shy about taking photos in the cafe. They seem to know that everyone is here to experience the whole 'amelie' atmosphere. I wouldnt blame them for putting up an unhappy face all the time. Tip 1: its true, the waiters are quite snobbish mainly because there are so many tourists visitng the cafe. I will give you some insights about the cafe before you head there. As what the previous reviews said, this is a must visit cafe if you are just like everyone who is in love with the movie The Fabulous Amelie Poulain.
